Guest Speakers

Mark Osborne:

We are so lucky to be able to secure Mark Osborne from Core Education as a guest speaker to come and work with our staff on 15th February, 2016.  You can read more about Mark at this link.

Our staff are only just beginning the e-learning/e-portfolio journey and for many are unsure of what this looks like for them in their classrooms.

Mark will work with our staff to give them practical ideas and ways to implement technology in the average NZ classroom. Our staff appreciate ‘real’, practical ways/ideas about how they can use the tools they have available to them, EFFECTIVELY.

We are hoping for them to walk away with:

1) An understanding that it is NOT the tool you have but rather HOW you use it.

2) Some tangible beginning points – how they can facilitate more effective learning for their students using technology. 

3) Ideas about how technology can be used to promote thinking, create products of their learning and to share their learning in a meaningful way.
